Dr. Boehm grew up in Wisconsin and completed his undergraduate education at the University of Wisconsin–Madison before earning his medical degree at the Medical College of Wisconsin. His plastic surgery residency – also at the Medical College of Wisconsin – provided comprehensive training across the full spectrum of aesthetic and reconstructive surgery, the depth a practice like Consona requires.
After residency, he pursued an ASAPS-endorsed fellowship in aesthetic surgery under the mentorship of Dr. Bradley Calobrace in Louisville, Kentucky – a year dedicated entirely to advanced aesthetic technique. Returning home to Wisconsin to practice the craft he trained for, in the community he grew up in, was always the plan.

Aesthetic surgery keeps moving, and staying current means contributing to it, not only reading it. Dr. Boehm has authored fifteen peer-reviewed publications in journals including Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Facial Plastic Surgery – the literature that shapes how this specialty is taught and practiced.
His fellowship in aesthetic surgery was endorsed by The Aesthetic Society, one of only a handful of programs in the country to carry that recognition. The research, the fellowship, and the daily work in the operating room are the same discipline seen from three angles – together, they are the foundation this practice is built on.
