From the Practice
Meet Dr. Lucas Boehm

Choosing a plastic surgeon is a decision that deserves real research. Credentials matter. So does the kind of judgment a surgeon brings to the consultation — the willingness to listen, to recommend a quieter plan when it holds up better, to say nothing if surgery isn't the right answer.
Dr. Lucas Boehm founded Consona Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics in Delafield on that premise. Here's what to know about him.
Where Did Dr. Boehm Train?
Dr. Boehm is a Wisconsin native who completed his undergraduate education at the University of Wisconsin–Madison before earning his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin. His plastic surgery residency, also at the Medical College of Wisconsin, gave him comprehensive training across the full spectrum of aesthetic and reconstructive surgery.
After residency, he pursued an ASAPS-endorsed aesthetic surgery fellowship under Dr. Bradley Calobrace in Louisville, Kentucky. Dr. Calobrace is an internationally recognized leader in aesthetic surgery, and his fellowship is one of the few programs in the country to carry that endorsement. The year was focused entirely on advanced aesthetic technique — not a broad continuation of residency, but a deep narrowing of craft.
He returned to Wisconsin to practice what he trained for in the community he grew up in. That was always the plan.
What Are His Credentials?
Dr. Boehm is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a fellow of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) and a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS). He has authored fifteen peer-reviewed publications in journals including Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Facial Plastic Surgery — the literature that shapes how this specialty is taught and practiced.
His practice is dedicated exclusively to aesthetic surgery. He does not take on general plastic surgery or reconstructive-only cases. Every patient he sees is there for the same reason he trained.
What Is He Known For?
Dr. Boehm's areas of particular expertise are deep plane facelifts, rhinoplasty, and aesthetic breast surgery. These are among the most technically demanding procedures in aesthetic surgery; each requires both precision in the operating room and a carefully developed eye for proportion.
The deep plane facelift, in particular, is a signature of his practice. It works by repositioning the underlying facial tissues rather than pulling at the skin, so the result reads as rested and natural rather than pulled or altered. Patients describe the outcome as looking like themselves, only more as they remember looking.
What Does His Approach Look Like in Practice?
Dr. Boehm's approach is built on one conviction: the best outcomes are built with the patient, not delivered to them. The consultation is where the surgical plan actually begins. He takes longer than most patients expect, because he believes understanding the goal fully is the only way to get the result right.
That means listening before recommending. It means suggesting a quieter plan that will hold up better over time. And it means being honest when surgery is not the right answer, even when a patient has already decided they want it.
The result, when everything is aligned, is an outcome that feels inevitable. Not a transformation. The truest version of you.
How Do You Schedule a Consultation?
Consultations at Consona are in person, in Delafield, and never rushed. Dr. Boehm will examine, walk through options in plain language, and build a plan only if it fits.
